PIMSER director Kim Zeidler-Watters will present two sessions during the Scott Trimble Workshop “We Will Rise” on October 28, 2022.

Breakout Sessions 3 & 4 (repeated session)
Assessment in the Science Classroom
During our time together we will examine example classroom assessment tasks so we can collectively develop a vision for what classroom science assessment should look like and NOT look like when it is aligned to KY standards. We will also explore where to locate free/open source curriculum materials that include classroom assessment experiences that can support teachers in this transition.

Breakout Session 5
How do I provide Effective feedback to science teachers?

During this session we will explore tools and resources to provide effective feedback to science classroom teachers that is meaningful and supportive. We will collaboratively examine what instruction should look like in an effective science classroom, what to look for in an effective lesson, and how to provide feedback and support that improves instruction and student learning.
